چکیده
Nitride and carbide ternary coatings improve the wear corrosion resistance of carbon steel substrates. In this work, Ti-W-N Ti-W-C were deposited on AISI 1060 substrates using reactive radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering. The designed as monolayers, bilayers, multilayers 40 periods. obtained with simultaneous sputtering Ti W targets. microstructure, composition, electrochemical properties investigated by techniques such X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force (AFM), impedance (EIS), potentiodynamic polarization. XRD results shower a mix binary TiN W2N structures in layer, phase layers, addition quaternary Ti-W-CN multilayers. analysis XPS demonstrated that concentration was more significant than layers. lowest rate (0.19 mm/year−1) highest (~10 kΩ·cm2) out all found n = bilayers. simulation equivalent electrical circuits, it coating presented three processes (Pore + Coating Inductance). However, multilayer (n 40) system major dielectric constant through electrolyte adsorption; therefore, caused an increase capacitance coating.

Nanostructured TiO2 films are deposited on a silicon substrate using 150-W power from the RF magnetron sputtering at working pressures of 3 to 5 Pa, with no substrate bias, and at 3 Pa with a substrate bias of -50 V. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis reveals that TiO2 films deposited on unbiased as well as biased substrates are all amorphous. Surface properties such as surface roughness and wett...
متن کاملThe tribological properties of Cu-Ni3Al-MoS2 composite coating deposited by magnetron sputtering
In industrial applications, most materials are exposed to wear and friction because multiple conditions are used. However, the tribological properties of these materials can be improved with different techniques. One such technique that improves the frictional property of a surface is the use of self-lubricating coatings. In this study, multicomponent coatings of nominal composition Cu-Ni3Al-Mo...
